Problem : Missing Ship From phone number and contact name in Oracle application inventory setup for a specific organization

Cause : The shipping information is incomplete in the Inventory Organization parameters. This typically causes issues in shipping transactions or integrations with carriers (like FedEx or UPS), where contact details are required.

Solution: 

Set up the Ship From Phone Number and Contact Name in the Oracle Inventory responsibility for the required organization.


 Steps to Set Up in Oracle Applications:

  1. Navigate to Inventory Responsibility:

    • Login to Oracle E-Business Suite.

    • Go to Inventory responsibility.

  2. Access Organization Parameters:

    • Navigate to:
      Setup > Organizations > Organizations

    • Query the required Organization Name.

    • Click on the [Inventory Information] button.

  3. Go to Shipping Network or Receiving Parameters:

    • Navigate to:
      Setup > Organizations > Shipping Networks

    • Or use:
      Setup > Organizations > Receiving Parameters

  4. Enter Required Fields:

    • Contact Name: Enter the name of the person responsible.

    • Phone Number: Enter a valid phone number in the correct format.

  5. Save the changes (Ctrl + S or using the save icon).

  6. Bounce the necessary services or re-test the shipping transaction to ensure the error is resolved.
