Display Negotiated Shipment Cost While Showing Standard Freight Charges in ShipConsole

Requirement:

You want the shipment cost to show negotiated (discounted) rates, while the freight charges displayed to the customer reflect non-discounted (standard) rates.

Solution:

1. Navigate to Carrier Configuration:

   • Open EBS Navigator.

   • Select ShipConsole Admin Responsibility.

2. Access Carrier Configuration:

   • In the ShipConsole Admin screen, click on Carrier Configurations.

   • In the configuration page:

     • Select the appropriate Operating Unit

     • Select Organization

     • Select the Carrier Name

   • Click the Go button to retrieve existing carrier details.

3. Modify Rate Display Setting:

   • Locate the option Use Negotiated Rates.

   • Uncheck this checkbox.

4. Save the Changes:

   • Click the Save button.
     
     
     

Explanation:

Unchecking "Use Negotiated Rates" instructs ShipConsole to:

Use negotiated (discounted) rates internally for shipment cost calculation.

Display standard (non-discounted) charges for freight display to the customer.
