Problem:

While shipping with any carrier, the following error message is displayed:
"Shipment response is null."

Solution:

One of the reasons for this issue was related to a cron job running every two hours. This caused problems due to temporary storage becoming full and insufficient instance space.

To resolve this, the cron job has been removed, which has fixed the issue.
