Problem
We set the profile to allow editing of the Ship To address. The user can edit the address lines but not the City, State, or ZIP Code. Please advise on how to allow users to edit the full address.
Solution:
How to Enable Full "Ship To" Address Editing in ShipConsole
Step 1: Enable Editing via ShipConsole Profile
- Login as Admin (Role 3).
- Navigate to:
Admin → Profile Options
- Locate and check the profile:
Click the ℹ️ (Info) icon next to the profile.
✅ Edit Ship To Address
- In the pop-up, ensure the following fields are check marked:
- ✅ Customer Name
- ✅ Address Line 1
- ✅ City
- ✅ State
- ✅ Postal Code (ZIP)
- ✅ Country Code
- Click Save, then log out and log in again to validate the changes.
If you've already enabled the "Edit Ship To Address" profile in ShipConsole and the user can edit address lines but not City, State, or ZIP, the issue likely lies in Oracle EBS setup or data restrictions.
Step 2 : Setup in Oracle EBS to enable Editing of Ship to address in ShipConsole:
To enable the Editing of Ship to address (Address Lines, City, State and Postal codes), we have a setup which needs to be done at Oracle.
Generally, this is not required if the Master data in Oracle is corrected.
Setup to allow editing of City, State, Zip of ‘Ship To’ Address in ShipConsole
This setup is used to select Oracle Order Types for which the City, State and Zip fields in the ‘Ship To’ address can be edited in ShipConsole. For other Order Types not in this lookup, the city, state and zip fields will be non-editable in ShipConsole.
Navigation:
Order Management Responsibility: Setup → Shipping → Lookups
Enter the following values as shown in the screen shot.
- Type: AASC_ST_EDITABLE_ORDER_TYPES
- Meaning: Ship To address can be edited if Order Type appears in Ship Console
- Application: Order Management
- Description: Ship To address can be edited if Order Type appears in Ship Console
After Performing the above step, Login as ShipConsole Admin user and select the profile “Edit Ship To Address’ and open the details pop-up and enable the required Address details
