Problem:
UPS shipping fails with an error like "Invalid authentication information.

Cause:
This typically indicates that the UPS account credentials (username, password, or access key/token) used for authentication are incorrect or have not been properly configured.

Solution:

  1. Verify UPS Account Details:

    • Confirm the UPS account number is correct.

    • Obtain the correct username and password associated with the UPS account.

  2. Generate Authentication Tokens:

    • Use the UPS developer portal to generate a new Access Token if required (for APIs using OAuth).

    • For systems using legacy credentials, ensure the Access Key is correctly configured.

  3. Update Configuration:

    • In ShipConsole update the carrier configuration with the correct credentials and token.

    • Save and test the configuration.

  4. Test Shipping:

    • Retry the shipment after updating the credentials to confirm that the issue is resolved
