Launch Edge Browser as IE mode

Steps to be followed for enabling Applet in Microsoft Edge – by launching as IE mode.

1) Click on Windows Start menu and search → Edit group policy

a) Computer configuration --> Administrative Templates --> Windows components --> double click on Internet Explorer

b) On the right side search for “Use the Enterprise Mode IE Website List” and double click on it

c) Select state as “enabled”, click on enabled and under options provided a site url where we have the sites.xml

Example : https://shipconsole.com/sites.xml

2) Now Open the Edge browser and navigate to edge settings --> select Default browser--> under ‘Allow below mentioned sites to be reloaded in Internet Explorer mode’ Please Select ‘Allow’ option in the drop down list and then add the below mentioned sites using Add button (Screen Shots below)

3) Re Open Fresh new session of Edge Browser and enter below as the url edge://compat/enterprise

a. Internet Explorer mode diagnostics → Attempt to launch Internet Explorer mode should be success

b. Enterprise Mode Site List → If you check “Show sites on the user site list” then the urls added in the above step should be visible

4) Navigate to Control Panel -→ Java→

Click on Edit Site List → Add below urls and then click on Apply and OK buttons

5) Navigate to Control Panel → Internet Options→ security tab→

Select Trusted Sites and click on the Sites button.

Add below two url’s under the trusted sites

http://dsvldford0011.SC-global.net:8080

Open the EBS login url in the edge browser: that should now Launch the EBS in the IE 11 mode
